The return on the Burglars. After a number of months without much crime, the area has now been attacked by a gang of thieves who were not particular how much noise they made. Subject: - House breakings.Place: - Residencia Pinada Golf 1, Villa Martin, Orihuela CostaDate and time:- During the early morning of 26.2.15.Occurrence:- Thieves ripped metal grills from 7 houses next to each other and entered. At about 4 a.m. loud noises were heard for about ten minutes.Unfortunately no-one disturbed them or called the Police. The Guardia Civil later attended the scene.Advice:- Although you might have grills covering windows and/doors it is best to have window locks and good solid doors as well. It you are living here or only spend part of the year in your house always have it protected with an alarm connected to a control. A good company will display its notice outside the house and the burglars know a good company and generally leave alone. I know it costs but peace of mind is worth having. Leave keys with people you can trust.If you hear an unusual noise or see something unusual DO NOT APPROACH BUT ALWAYS INFORM THE POLICE. They do not mind if it is found to be a false alarm providing it is not made maliciously. In fact they welcome it. We need to keep our area secure so keep alert and vigilant.
