THE FISHERMEN HAVE RETURNED – DON´T BE A PART OF THEIR CATCHPlace:- Playa Flamenca and Los Altos, Orihuela CostaTime and date:- Night and early mornings over the last two weeks.Occurrences:- During this time thieves have robbed a number of houses having found open windows and seen keys, handbags, etc on view. With the aid of a pole with a hook on the end they have removed items from the room. Where they have taken keys, they have been able to enter the house through doors and stolen several precious items.Even if there are bars to the windows, it is easy for them to remove items from within.Advice:- During the hot weather always secure ground floor windows and windows where access can easily be gained to the interior. Never leave valuable items,handbags or keys on view to persons outside.If you see anyone who you think is acting suspiciously do not hesitate but call the Police by phoning 112. The Police do not mind if the person is acting lawfully and the call has been made in good faith.If you return home late or are woken up to discover that your house has been broken into, DO NOT TOUCH ANYTHING but call the Police. The visiting Police will access whether evidence can be gained by a detailed examination of the premises.TAKE PRECAUTIONS AND KEEP SAFE
